Tips and Precautions:
Nails cut and clean feet and hands (without polish for girls):
Germs can live under our fingernails: even effective hand washing cannot destroy all germs. if fingernails are long, hence the risk of spreading germs among students.
Long fingernails can scratch.
Trimming our toenails can prevent ingrown toenails.
Well-tied hair:
• For better vision in the classroom.
• To avoid the transmission of germs and parasites such as lice, if present.
How to recognize and avoid the common cold:
Symptoms of the common cold:
A stuffy or runny nose
Loss of appetite
Fatigue
Cough
Sore throat
Sneezing
Tears
Headache
Sore throat
Treatment: regular nose wash, paracetamol if fever, rest for 48 hours at home, monitoring (fever, mucus, cough…), cuddles. Consult the pediatrician if symptoms persist.
Cold preventions: 1. regular hand washing (eg the baby touches the nose and rubs the eyes, he risks catching conjunctivitis). 2. learn to cough or sneeze into your elbow.
