A healthy and hygienic back to school.

Tips and Precautions:

Nails cut and clean feet and hands (without polish for girls):

  • Germs can live under our fingernails: even effective hand washing cannot destroy all germs. if fingernails are long, hence the risk of spreading germs among students.

  • Long fingernails can scratch.

  • Trimming our toenails can prevent ingrown toenails.

Well-tied hair:

• For better vision in the classroom.

• To avoid the transmission of germs and parasites such as lice, if present.

How to recognize and avoid the common cold:

Symptoms of the common cold:

  • A stuffy or runny nose

  • Loss of appetite

  • Fatigue

  • Cough

  • Sore throat

  • Sneezing

  • Tears

  • Headache

  • Sore throat

Treatment: regular nose wash, paracetamol if fever, rest for 48 hours at home, monitoring (fever, mucus, cough…), cuddles. Consult the pediatrician if symptoms persist.

Cold preventions: 1. regular hand washing (eg the baby touches the nose and rubs the eyes, he risks catching conjunctivitis). 2. learn to cough or sneeze into your elbow.
